JULIA AMA: Quarantine Edition
Together but separate.
We know everyone has A LOT of time on their hands right now. Hopefully time to rest, reset & reflect, to STAY HOME and find some calm. So we each wanted to show you how we're handling our own quarantines. The one nice thing about this is that WE'RE ALL IN IT TOGETHER - so let's connect in our collective aloneness, by listening to what each other is listening to, laughing at what each other is laughing at, smiling, crying, writing, meditating TOGETHER.
Today’s recs coming to you from:
Co-founder JULIA AMA.
The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer
This is Water by David Foster Wallace
The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga
Love Letters to Strangers
What Makes a Good Life? Lessons from the Longest Study on Happiness
Midnight in Paris
The Intouchables (French film)
Cidade de Deus (City of God)
Marco Polo (great for friend groups and keeping in touch in a more personal way)
Candy Crush (honestly it’s a vibe)
IntervalTimer (perfect for at home circuits. And free!)
Keep a routine as much as possible, waking up at a reasonable hour, going to bed at a reasonable hour.
Get at least 30 mins of exercise every day, even if it's just a few laps around the block or some lunges and squats in the house. Keeping your blood moving will help keep your spirits high.
Learn something new! Guitar, piano, language, new recipe, new craft (drawing, painting, photography)
Meditate if you're feeling overwhelmed, or as a way to keep your inner peace if you already have it. Great way to reset when the news is rolling in.
